How to protect your parasol during winter?

Winter is the number one enemy of terrace parasols. Moisture, frost and wind can damage the canvas and mechanism if simple precautions aren't taken.

Clean before storing

Never store a dirty parasol. Mould develops more quickly on dirty canvas. A professional cleaning before winter is ideal, but at minimum, brush the canvas and let it dry completely.

Choose the right storage

If possible, store your parasol in a dry, ventilated place. Use a breathable protective cover — avoid plastic sheets that trap moisture.

Check the mechanism

Take advantage of winter storage to check the opening mechanism, ribs and pole.
